Sulu

Situated at the southern tip of the Philippines, Sulu is a small island making up over 7100 islands that is the Philippines. In recent years it has gained media popularity for all the wrong reasons. However, having lived practically most of my life on this island I can assure you that there is more to this place than what the world thinks of it. The land is rich and bountiful with fruits from the earth and sea equally swelling with the freshest catch the waters can offer. A no man’s land may be to some, but it will always be home. I will let the pictures talk.

A note: the pictures in this section are from when I was still living in the Philippines. I opted to keep them as they are, unedited from the time I did them as a reminder of how I got into photography and an ode to my younger self.
